. . . More than just a stop to
stretch your legs !
Our love of antiques began by being surrounded by
farm implements and equipment during our childhood. Working
for local auction houses in the 1980's and 1990's gave us a great
education into the world of antiques. We started buying and
selling when we lived in Brooklyn Ontario.
We
love our Lorneville country store ! We sell antiques and
collectibles ... little bits of history.
Speaking of history, the main house was built in 1906 and served
as the Station House in Balsam Lake. Stop into the store to
see the 1947 photo of the house being moved by steam engine from
Balsam Lake to Lorneville. This Lorneville location used to
be a Sunoco Gasoline Service Station. That's why you will
see the old SUNOCO sign out front.
We
also like to mix in some newer items to keep shopping options even
more interesting. See behind us in our photo we are selling jams,
jellies, chutneys and relish. We also have ice cream cones
and Empire Cheese.
If
you are driving through Woodville, turn north onto Highway # 46.
And for those of you passing through Argyle, turn south. It
will be easy to find us on the west side of the highway ... look
for the Old Sunoco Sign ... with lots of parking out front.

The Lorneville Store, featured on this site, is a wonderful place
to visit. It's in the small village of Lorneville and has
lots of great antiques. It's really cute & the owner's,
Grant & Shirley, are friendly, knowledgable & helpful. I
would highly recommomend a visit to the store if you are in the
Woodville area.
